LF Hand tamper and/or compactor

So I should be at the point on Friday of starting to fill in stone dust for my patio I am about to build. I need a hand tamper but figure there must be someone out there who has one since I will need it for a couple of days and really doubt I will need it again afterwards. Would rather not buy one.

Also if anyone has a compactor (I doubt it but worth a shot) that I can borrow, let me know!
Willing to pay for the convenience rather than renting from Home Depot.

Thanks! Probably save me a bunch since I think I will need it for a couple a days. I have 7 tons of stone dust to move on Friday. I'll get it tomorrow (wednesday) as I have to go by Home Depot then as well.

Dirk and I own a big packer that we will rent for a reasonable fee but it weighs probably about 1000lbs, you need a low trailer and come-along or winch to get it on and off or a powerful enough tractor with a bucket.

What is this monstrosity you talk of???? I might have to do some rock work in about 3 weeks.... This might fit the bill.. Is it a vibrating plate or is it a wheeled-type
