I am in need of a set of freewheeling hubs for a 1989 Toyota. Believe it or not the truck never came with them. Is it as simple as just removing the cover that is there and installing the freewheeling hubs?
Also need a good drivers side front axle for the same truck this one is making a klunking sound when cornering. (Independant front suspension) Thanks Jim

Yes it is as simple as removing the drive flange and installing the hubs. I have a spare set, but want to keep them incase I ever explode one. As you know, they are hard to come by. Keep a drive flange in the truck, it's a cheap trail repair to fix a busted ass hub as well.

Actually I don't know much about Toyotas, but thanks for the info on the install and keeping the drive flanges for a trail fix. Gee I have lots of sammy and sidekick hubs lying around to bad they don't fit!

Not sure if this is the same on all hubs, but, when you do manage to find a set and go to swap them out. Watch the cone washers in the hub bolts. Getting them out is a major pain and they can go flying! Had a hell of a time finding one in the grass. Just an FYI for ya.

I am parting an 86 Toy, should be the same axles.
The truck is mostly stripped. All thats left is the IFS, no hubs tho, but both axles and the 7.5" diff.
Do you want the whole IFS?

I will check with my son to see if he wants all of it. What would you want for the whole set up? Do you want to get rid of the of the whole truck? if so how much?

not much left of the truck. its a semi crushed cab in the fron half of the frame with the IFS hanging off it.......its been well parted out.

I'd take $50 for the complete IFS. ( less hubs rotors, etc....as they are gone)
