i seem to remember someone on here was parting out a J20 a while back... does anyone have a decent J20 steering box kicking around that they could part with? Or a good place where i could find one?

What year of J20? If it is 1980 or newer a box from a YJ is the same. One of those may be easier to locate.

YJ box has a 3 inch bore... J20 is 3.5 inch. They may be similar looking but not the same box.

My listing at work (napa) shows them taking the same part # from 1980 and up. hmmmm

yup because you can't get the big bore boxes anymore. They sell the 3" bore boxes as replacements for the J20 since they are bolt on. Like i said, very similar but thats not what i want.... i want the original J20 box
