I want to replace my Sub struts this week and a spring compressor would make the job a lot easier.

I have a set of those cheap ones that clamp onto either side of the coil and uses an impact/ratchet to compress the spring. You are more than welcome to use those if you want. I used them when installing 2" BB on the grand.

Go to your nearest CT store and "rent" a set ; at least this is what I did some time ago when was playing with the suspension.

The Crappy Tire in Orleans, last time I was there to borrow the compressors, didn't lend these out anymore or didn't lend out any tools anymore. Can't remember which, probably the former.

Don't know if this is true of the other CTs in Ottawa.

I ended up mentioning this to my brother and he surprised me by saying he had a set from PA (which he told me to hold on to).

Thanks for all the offers. I'll try CT first but if they don't have it I'll bug one of you.

Keith, I think Roy has done enough courier work for me, I don't want to bug him any more!

Dan, you're a bit far from me, I'm in the West end.

Tim, you might be the best bet so far if we can meet in the West end. But wait till I find out about CT tomorrow when I get the struts.

I am actually somewhat laid up post op, however DO have to go into town tomorrow morning. I can meet you near the Lee Valley store or possibly Kanata Ford tomorrow morning. PM me. I dont know the actual time but will be dropping off a vehicle at Kanata Ford in the morning, then driving my wife to work, then have to shoot home for physio. I have to come back into town, but again, very rushed and at this time, i don't know when it will be. It'd be in around the 7:30-8:30 mark in the morning.

Called CT Kanata and they said they have one so I'll try to pick it up tomorrow. Thanks for the offer Tim, but I really didn't want to get up that early!
