Front or rear? Which Jeep model?

If you're looking for the front of the Blazer, it would need to be drivers drop. Only front drivers drop D44's in Jeeps that I know of are in the 80+ Waggys and 03+ Rubicon's.

For the rear, they were available in CJ's although they are quite rare I've read, and certain XJ's with the towing package (87 I think?).

There's a couple of XJ 44's for sale on the site, and I know Dirk had some 44's out of Fords (driver's drop and high pinion) for cheap too.

Early Bronco is a perfect swap for the Blazer
Jim Williams has some.

Need to know some parameters for what you want to do with the axle first to decide what axle you need.

if your planning on putting a D44 on the front of your truck I think your asking the wrong questions. firstly, carparts dot com isn't the place to start.

try here: http://www.coloradok5.com/axleguide.shtml

after identifying what a D44 looks like and what vehicles to find them under, go here: http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/web_rs44.html (don't forget the article about flat top knuckles)

but before you do all that reading, have you considered other axle swaps? not saying that a D44 is the wrong swap but it won't be easy to find one that matches your rear axle. (as far as I know the jeep rubi front D44 is the only one with the same bolt pattern) what I'm getting at is maybe you should do both axles. personally, I'd start looking for an old 77 78 bronco or 4x4 truck. hi pinion drivers drop D44, 9inch rear not to mention other goodies you may or may not want to use (D20 and/or NP205)

I might be able to get my hands on an old bronco. If I can get it for cheap, ill pick it up. I eventually want to do electric or air lockers front and rear. for now I will go open fron and lockrite or somethin like that rear to keep it cheap.
and im not just looking on car parts. Just a few people that I deal with ask the same questions as them.
All I know, is I can put them in...but I have no clue what to get. They will get beat to hell from me though.

If planning on beating the snot out of it with the Blazer, D44 and a 9" from an early bronco are your best bet if you want to keep it narrow.
If you don't mind the width of FS, late 70's Ford 1/2 ton D44 and 9".
You're lookin at atleast a couple grand for all the parts to do the swap properly
Cheap is relative to what you are trying to do

A few grand said and done to me would be cheap... The SFA kit for my truck I was looking at was $5000 + axles... That guy is nuts...
Im going to collect the parts over the winter, and have at er come spring... Im hoping to be done from start to stop in 3 days straight... I think theat should be enough time. As long as I have everything...

Full size should be in the 67" WMS-WMS range, where the EB stuff is around 58-60" WMS-WMS IIRC.

EB is ~1963 - 1977.

63? I thought it was 66-77?

If you're looking for EB stuff, Dirk is your guy. Several fronts and a couple of rears, all for cheap, and would be in my yard if I hadn't have found the Jeep (need pass drop stuff for mine).

Logan, if you are really serious, i have been working with a lad stateside who has a

HD HPD44 front / 9" combo. DS drop, discs in the front. All stock.

Width is at 65" WMS-WMS

If you are needing a DS drop, this front axles is a very good choice without going to a D60. If you have the capacity/time to build.....
