Looking good for me, I'll be at Burnstown unless something explodes.
I will sort of have a seat, either Connie or my Dad are coming, the back seat is a little cramped, it is an XJ but you are welcome to jump in. Sorry I didn't post earlier, I was out in the garage working on the beast.

Another missed run.... seems like every time I attempt to get out I get a big green kick in the teeth. Although this time I was asking for it.
So near Pakenham I'm suddenly leaving a big cloud behind me- I ask my buddy Derek if he hit the switch marked smoke screen- he says no.
Pull over, tranny fluid everywhere... not good, although some would perceive the self under-lube as a bonus. Clean off the underside and all the lines. On our way again. Half way to Waba I'm fogging for mosquitos again. This time we rule out the lines leaking. Next time just past Waba, get a call from Dwayne- thanks btw!
Fluid is actually coming from the bell housing.... Stop in White Lake to get some ATF just in case.... *lightbulb moment*
Hey, let's check the fluid level again. She's reading about an inch past full! I'm a jackass. Quick stop at a friend's place near Galetta sd rd & 29, drain off a bunch of fluid. It's done it a couple more times, but seems to be self containing again.
It seems as though back in November when the tranny was swapped we over estimated the amount of fluid lost in the process. This was the furthest distance I've taken the truck and apparently when it heats up enough it decides to vacate through the vent in the bell housing?
Hope everyone had a good run, see you next time...maybe. I'm gonna go hide now.

That sucks. Yeah there is a vent on the exterior above the and behind the bellhousing that I am aware of, not sure if there is actually one inside.
Shame you missed the run, it was pretty good with lots of sun and moderate insects.
Dirk broke something in his rear axle, (ring and pinion, locker or centre pin) and Terry has a not so good noise in his front axle (seems like locker) but otherwise everybody had fun.
Some of the "new" obstacles we found on The Gorge keep it interesting.

And I was happy to see that the gear set is fine
As I expected, the cross shaft broke and took the carrier with it.

Wow, $89!!! I'm pretty sure I found them cheaper than that (still Staun and in Canada). I'll see if I can find the site again. Pretty sweet item though, definitely want a set.

Quadratec has the stauns for $70 and the trail ready set for $60. Personally, I hate 'em. Too slow. You can get a valve core remover for $5. Does the same job in a fraction of the time.

I have the Stauns too and like them. I used to do the core removal and other very fast methods, but I just ended finishing before everyone else and waiting, so speed doesn't matter. On the other hand you set them to one pressure only and if I want another pressure for a particular trail I have to do it the old fashioned way.
