Dirk, those are british cans. They are really really good but hard to find in Canada, CDN and US forces do not use them. If you aren't in a rush they can be brought in from the UK, I can send you info for parts importers. I know Wedco makes knock-offs, the spouts are slightly different.

yup....US use USGI cans with a large screw-in cap, its actually the same size as a bung on a 40gal. drum. Leaky peices of crap.
Canada seems to even use plastic ones ....
All NATO forces, use the original pre-WWII german design fuel container.

I contaected www.theplasticsgroup.net , makers of Wedco cans, but the have no distributors in Canada. Their solution is for me to buy from http://www.expeditionexchange.com/wedco/ and import them.

I would be happy with theirs, as they also come in yellow for diesel and blue (with a different liner) for potable water.

I was hoping to buy some locally though and save the pain of importing them.

But, it looks like I may have to do just that.

Thread resurection :)

Curious as to how these wedco cans hold fuel, in terms of spillage from gas splashing around while wheeling? If they are leak proof, I'm going to order a couple up.

Appreciate the feedback,
