Wondering if anyone has a set I can borrow in the near future when I put them back in to my new axle. Basically the ball joints do not go straight in but go in at an angle. I have the ball joint press just need the adapters. Probably call partssource to see if they have them to loan but I suspect not.

Why not prop a thick washer under the adapter to cause it to then make the adapter press down on an angle... I'm sure if you YouTube it there is a video (jeep ball joint or something like that) somewhere that'll show it I'm sure.

I didnt even knew that there is a adapter required.... done at least one hundred of them over the years on various ***ps, well same axle - d30.
Carefully staring the BJ by gently tapping with the BFH and continuing with the C clamp press.... piece of cake :)

Knowing how Jeeps go through ball joints if you keep replacing them (supposedly) you risk wallowing out the hole especially on the top one.

Yep, a small piece of steel about 3/16" thick was able to do the job. Went in like butter.
