Hey Adrian is that Walmart easy to get to? I also see that you get off on 11 then, do you stay on it until you get past Syracuse altogether? I go to this Walmart as it is so close to the 81 http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&cp...X&oi=local_result&ct=image&sqi=2&ved=0CAQQ_BI but if going to the other one allows you a nice road to drive on to avoid downtown Syracuse I might go there instead. If, that is a big If I go I am trying to leave by 2 on Thursday as that still puts me driving in the dark for 4 hours.

Don't think I have ever been to the one in Watertown. The parking lot of the Cicero one is huge and they are open 24/7 - I usually stop there cause it is about half way to RC. The roads are fine and I usually backtrack to the exit to get back on 81. The break half way is the main reason. (we have also camped overnight in their parking lot before with no issues)

Well gentlemen, with a valiant effort i will not be able to get my zuk back together to make it in time and i'm getting to old for all nighters to drive all day alone after. i found out depot and terry bailed last weekend.

I spun and spit out a t-case thrust washer which the gear deflection spun my front output on the second t-case. Besides the weather down there doesn't look what so ever appealing and i have raced down there wet too many times to know it won't be fun wheeling those wet rocks. Hopefully i'll be good for the spring run.

Sorry guys. :(

Woke up Thursday morning to find an e-mail from Brad that everybody bailed. We all left at different times. Jumped in the camper and headed out at 8am. GPS said I had an ETA to RC for 4pm so I thought, awsome, as long as nothing goes wrong I can get there and have some beer and dinner before anybody else shows up ;)

Border crossing was effortless. Camper was sucking back the fuel, costing around $80 US to fill the tank. Made it to the Cicero Walmart for 11:30am. Did my shopping, fawking bank card would not work so had to pay cash :( Headed out for the rest of the trip and around 2 hours later saw a bunch of smoke coming off my trailer. Stopped on the side of the road and my tire fell off. Limped it to the next exit and found a gas station to stop at.

Tore down the wheel and found NO wheel bearing left. Called Andrew and they where still in Cicero so they stopped at the parts store and picked up some bearings. 2 hours later they caught up only to find the bearings where wrong. Off they went again with the pieces of the old bearings to measure from and a lot of driving later they came back at 8:30pm with the right parts. 20 minutes later and we where back on the road, arriving at RC for 11:30pm. Some  later and off to sleep.

The next morning we woke to lots of rain. after breakfast we headed out on the trail with Mitko breaking his Pan-hard bar about 30 minutes later. Back to camp and off to the local farm welding place for repairs. Then back to the camper for Lunch:

After lunch, Mitko jumped in with me and off the the trails we went again. about an hour later and I ripped the ram mount off the axle on my truck:

Of course it was pouring rain. Lucky I left the old mount on the axle from before I relocated the ram so we where able to bolt it up to that and get it back to camp. Off to the farm welding place for Brad and Mitko to pick up his Panhard bar while Andrew and I welded back up my truck. After everything was back together we played on the comp course for a while. Both Brad and I doing some stuff we never have attempted before:

Back to the camper for dinner and a night of drinking in the camper, out of the rain.:beer:

Looks like you guys had fun, except for the rain I wish it would have worked out that I could have went. Are you coming next year when it's warmer and the rain doesn't seem so brutal

Woke up next morning and headed back on the trails again. Mitko hooked up with some trucks more his size and Brad and I where joined by a local with a YJ on 37's. First trail we went on was Crawl Daddy, Jason (YJ Guy) broke a leaf spring center pin so back to the camp for repairs we went again. :flipoff:

About 90 minutes later we had his jeep back together only to be stopped by a stripped U-Bolt nut. So Jason jumped in with me and off we went again. We did some more trails, trail 12 I think and Rock Creek.

On the way to Otter's I dented my stock diff cover bad enough that it started leaking. So back to camp we went again. We found Mitko already there, with the pan hard bracket broken off the frame, so out came the welder and Andrew welded it back up while I put some epoxy on my diff cover.

All fixed up and back to the comp course. It was finally not raining and the course was sticky so Brad I and did a whole bunch of cool stuff. No pics though, video to come.

All done for the day we took off to the gas station for trucker showers and to find me a bank that my fawking card would work in. The locals where having a Holloween celebration with drunk/stoned people out in abundance. It amused us but we decided to drink back at camp again.

Next day we all loaded up and took off for home, nothing eventful happened and the camper used slightly less fuel to get back. Both Brad and I were pulled over at the border but came out un-scathed.

Back in the Spring! :flipoff:

Yup - we were discussing why we go when it is cold and were thinking it would be a good idea to go closer to summer :)
