Wonder how we could do that, I will talk to the BODs tonight.

Never would have thought about that.

Thanks for the idea.

You should make a live stream, since it's a fairly long trip for us.

Great idea, it might be as simple as a webcam and laptop running something like WebEx (http://www.webex.com/). And if you need to limit the number of connections clubs and local members could get together at a single location.

Environmentally friendly too :smokin:

I finally get a good idea! Hey!
Having a live streaam and the ability to (theoretically) chat or cam for immediate 2-way interaction would be nice. If it's not possible, I'd be okay with preparing a list of (Issues and questions) that we can email ahead of time, and just watch a youtube video of the whole meeting afterwards.

I'd settle for a live stream and even a Gtalk or other IM chat session for questions - having been on numerous global conference calls, getting questions from folks at different locations and not having them talk over everyone else is a pain in the ass. I know that WebEx has it's own chat built in, which is nice and convenient.

Spoke with the powers that be, looks like I should have posted this earlier. If we had more time we would be doing this, its a great idea. Time though is tooo tight to try and figure this out for this year but I will push for it for next.

It is this Sunday....

That's understandable, hopefully you can do it next year.

For this Sunday maybe someone could record the session and later figure out a place to put it? On you site in the members section or a private Youtube? Just throwing some ideas.

I am heading down on Sunday and I have been working on developing some good connections with OF4WD so if you have questions now or later or whenever I am happy to see if I can get you some answers.

OF4WD are working at trying to keep our access. They've done some nice work with their trail index map that members can use to know where to ride. We haven't exposed all the trails around here because I am hedging my bets with MNR and other groups and always concerned about overuse. I'm also working with them regarding the Algonquin Land Claim and getting some good advice on dealing with our Ontario government friends.

If you drop me a note by Saturday night with anything you want to know I will do my best. If you are interested I could come out and chat with you guys at your next meeting and give you an update on how I see the Algonquin Land Claim impacting us.

Yup I'm hoping to pop out for a little while and I can give you an update on what I think we will see with the Algonquin Land Claim and with forestry operations this year and we'll see if my analysis lines up with what you guys know. I have some maps with trails shown so you can see the details.

I can try to answer OF4WD questions too. I've been working with them for a while on the side but I'm still relatively new but what I don't know I can probably find out for you.
