While many are trying to convince you to stay out of the water (with good reason), they're also in the BTDT and moved on crowd like myself. So if you're not going to be convinced to stay out let's at least try to keep nasty fluids in your truck instead of the water. To that end some items got missed: your power steering box, coolant overflow, and transmission or t-case shifter boots.
Now that is some usefull info! I did not consider the power steering. I will check the gaskets on the reservoir. I'm not sure what i want to do with the coolant overflow... The overflow points straight down so it should form an air lock when submerged. And in the event of an overflow it designed to *gas* just dump on the ground. I wonder if maybe installing a one way valve on the overflow resorvoir fill and delete the overflow dump tube? I would just have to keep a close eye on the levels. I never seen one actually overflow however.
the transmission and t-case are open on the top?
