Tentative Crag run on the 23rd and Burger is willing to lead it. Further details to be provided by him. I am withdrawing from it as other plans have come up

Ill be leading the run on the 23rd as Chris had something else come up. I'm leaning toward running Crag to the lake and back. For those who don't know, the trail is up by the dam past Calabogie Peaks Resort. Planning on meeting at the top of the dam for 9am. I will be trailering up, and there is lots of room to park in case anyone else wants to do the same. Anyone is welcome to come along, but if you want to attend please let me know what you drive and if you have run the trail before or not. I don't have a minimum rig size in mind, but id like to know who is coming and with what. If anyone has questions or needs directions send me a PM. As always, family friendly run, no alcohol or drugs. Rain or shine.
Hope to see a good turn out!

Their website trail events confirms they are running it as well. I'm still in. we can share the trail.

The thing about OJC is everyone and their grandmother comes out (they are a huge club so no surprise). Last time we did the Gorge we asked if we could go first and they had no issue.

the other thing about them is they stop at every little bump to make a heroic picture and show on FB how capable their **** are so literally takes forever if you follow them. Try to sneak first on the trail.

So what's the plan?

Are you guys still planning on running the trail even though OJC is also?

I agree that if we get stuck behind them it's going to make for a very long day

Leave earlier. I am sure there is a way to find out when they are meeting at the trailhead and get there half hour earlier

Yes I still plan to run the trail, but as others have said id like to be ahead of OJC. I plan to meet up at the dam between 9 and 930. that should put us ahead of them if they are meeting at the gas station. Its not an issue to share the trail with them, just might make for a longer day and meeting new people lol. Hope this still works for everyone

Are you going straight to the dam then and not stopping at the gas station?

I've only gone there once so don't remember how to get to the dam.

Also, would it be ok if I brought along 2 friends, each in their own vehicle? They've both done the safety course run in the spring.

I was hoping to just meet at the top of the dam so we dont get mixed together with OJC. Also if ur buddies do decide to come out just let me know when u can cuz i have to send a rough list of whos coming to the insurance so we r all covered. As for directions, im not sure of the postal code up there. But its really easy to find with basic directions of the area. U take the 508 basicly right to the end, go past Calabogie Peaks Resort and another 10 minutes or so it comes to a sort of Y in the road. U want to stay left onto Hydro Dam rd. That takes u right to the base of the dam. U cross the bridge and the meeting spot is up at the top of the hill to the right. If u google map Hydro Dam rd. Calabogie ON it comes up.
If thats no clear enough let me know
Scott
