There is company in Ottawa that rebuilds your old one if you have one? Charged me $50.00 but that was 4 years ago. Auto Gadgets on Lancaster Rd. near the museum of science and tech.

Sweet, I drive down Lancaster every day I work. Is that the one in the mall with the Tim Hortons?

Jim, did you mean "Auto Gizmos"? I think we're thinking of the same place. Was it the capacitors that had gone on yours? When you looked at the circuit board was it obvious what was wrong? The reason I ask is when I opened mine up everything looks pristine on it. Nothing looks damaged at all, no swelling or oozing anywhere.

Anyone else have an ECM go without anything obvious-looking on it?

It used to be called Auto Gadgets maybe he changed his name. Nope mine looked perfect at the time, but there was 1 capacitor gone, it is usually the same one on all of them. He tests them all, changes the bad one and re-soldered the board on mine.

Update: So it's still called Auto Gadgets, I was thinking of a totally different place. Dropped it of today, should hear back from them tomorrow. Looking forward to having the Sami running again. Stay tuned...
