Yeah, Thanks Tim. Had allot of fun.
Anyone hear from Loco how his GF is?
The only part of Wabun lake that s not stock friendly is now the mudhole. The rest of the trail is a cake walk. So if you have someone who can put a stap on you for the hole then you are ok. Infact it is a nice challenging trail for a stocker.

Yes, I extend my thanks and appreciation to Tim as well. It was a great weekend, despite the weather. And thanks for ridding along with me on Crag Lake. There would have been, without a doubt, more carnage had we not had your experience with that trail to help guide us along .

Does anyone know who was filming when I flipped my truck on its side on pinion pass? I would really like to get a hold of those videos. I was the TAN stock truck.

A big thanks to Tim and to whomever else helped out with setting up this event!

Cheers!

Amy is fine, broken bone in her hand & lotsa pain, no too bad considering a truck landed on it. Can't say as much for the zuk tho. Maybe she'll be better after a date with the BFH and the sawzall (the sami not Amy).A lot more work for me at home now LOL.

Thanks to everyone that came to our aid and especially Al and Jaffo for escorting us back to camp (Amy appreciated the ride in the LWB TJ rather than having to come back in the pogo stick, er I mean Sami).

All in all, had an awesome time, flop aside.

Glad she's doing ok. I saw the truck back at camp and heard the story. You did a good number on the sami. Time to make it a soft top, lol.

Sorry to hear that, this is the worst OVO trail run injury I've heard of in my 10 years with the club. Could someone elaborate on what happened? I'm sure there's a lesson here for all of us.

Basically, I flopped the tintop on the passenger side and as we went over Amy instictually put out her hand to brace for impact and the upper window frame/rain gutter landed on top of her hand, crushing it.:(

The lesson is... Keep your hands inside the vehicle when you flop or ...Don't flop.

That is a basic safety issue, but also a basic instinct that's hard to crack, especially for passengers.

Hope she recovers fully.

Spring Fever wrap up report

I guess I should have posted in this section vs. the private area :)

Spring Fever wrap up report

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well 2009 Spring Fever has come to a close. It was a challenging year this year, The weather was rainy, cold and for the bugs were not the best, however Friday was beautiful, and while Sunday was cool, there were no bugs!!! So all in all it was a great event.

We had great attendance this year, even with the weather, which is what it is all about, getting poeple out and together for a good weekend of wheeling!!

I want to extend a big thanks to those that helped me. Without you this would not have happened!

Keith, who did an amazing job wiht sponsorship! Also for planning and manning a chekcpoint on Saturday. And arranging a checkpoint volunteer for me. Thanks Very much Keith!

Dirk and Dwayne, setting up the course on Friday for the day! Much appreciated that is always a long day.

Dave Code and Tim for manning a checkpoint on Sat both who drove up for the day to do just that! And Tim wihout his car in the rain!

And all the help in and around the scenes and clearing weekend!

This years winners were:

1st place - Pete Menard, Jean Marc Esormeaux and Lorien Cowley-Owen
2nd place - Jamie Thompson, Steve West and Andy Vatcher
3rd - Al aliridha, Zaldy Piquer andSteve Janczak

Campers Butt - Laura for buying everything known to man to come camping
Shady tree - Jeff robertson for breaking most things o nhis truck
Hard Luck - Darren Ford for breacking weld on control arm, then flopping on passenger, then flopping on driver.. but no real damage!
Tread Lightly - Kent Bennett - Being the garbage collector extrodinair

Thanks
tim

I am happy to hear Amy is doing better.. and that it is not more serious (broken bone is bad, but could have been much worse).

Keep us updated on how she is doing
