Stock friendly trail?

Hey guys,

I picked up a 2000 XTerra 4x4 not too long ago and would like to test it out on some trails that are stock friendly. I've got regular highway tires on there right now... The truck has 4HI/4LO, LSD, and auto locking hubs.

I'm planning to do a shackle lift + bigger tires but haven't got there yet. Can anyone recommend an easy stock friendly trail in the region?

Thanks,
Victor

Check regularly here, we are not planing something in the near future. The first one will be the safety course May 2nd.
Also you can go to the introduction forum (first at the top) and introduce yourself.

OVO is getting all the RL members...lol

Hey Logan!

I'm not really looking for a trail run but just a bit of dirt/gravel to test out my 4x4...

Until I get a lift and bigger tires I'm out of your league.

Hahaha yeah that trail would actually be perfect, it got intense near the end... but it's way too far, out in Cobden.

Anything nearby?

I'd go to the power lines but I need someone to spot me as I'm 100% bound to get stuck on road tires.

I was there this afternoon looking to see all the shit that was thrown out there this year. Im going to get a trailer and start hauling out some of the stuff in a week or two. You and Donny should come out this weekend to go down it.

To clean it up, next weekend probably. Trying to find a big trailer with submersible taillights. As for going to play, either this evening when I get back from Ottawa, or tomorrow. PM me your # and ill call you.

I checked out that little trail they got caught up in last Thursday. Got about 3 feet in, and sunk right through the grass to my axles. It's a little wet.

Power lines off dwyer hill. Havent ventured back to navan... After what that thing ended up looking like after everyone was out... I dont think I have a chance at getting through it. Maybe if we have a drought.

you can access that trail from the other side - I forget the name of the road though. If you use google earth you can see the trail, it's not that bad.

The upper dwyer hill rd should be good to go now, pretty dry winter and spring - frost is long gone.

Actually does anyone have proper coordinates for the power lines? I remember it's on the corner of Vaughan and Upper Dwyer Hill but where exactly I can't tell from the Google Maps..

never mind found the coordinates...

45°14'41.61"N
76° 3'3.63"W

I might go for a bit later tonight just play around/test my 4X4 in the entrance. Text 6132617024 if anyone's interested. Stock for now so hopefully I won't get stuck.

Went Thursday and Friday. Trail's in fairly decent shape.. I was able to get through to the power lines from both entrances but didn't tackle the trail under the power lines themselves due to highway tires and shitty clearance.

Some of those puddles are deeper than they look... I submersed my engine and eventually lost a cylinder while going through one. Car's drying off now so it should be good but still a close call... I really need a lift and some mud tires. Anyone selling something that will fit my 15s or my 6-bolt bolt pattern?
