Hope all was good at the Gorge. I saw a couple of you stuck, but the winch won't help you in the hwy 17 traffic!

Sunday afternoon is a good time to stay away from the Arnprior - Renfrew stretch of 17. Burnstown-White lake-Waba-Packenham (wave at John)-Antrim is the "hindsight=20/20" tip of the day!:flipoff:

Trip report for us chore-bound folk?

Yeah, I got a little over-zealous on the left side. Ripped out the shock and sheared a bolt on the upper control arm. Parked it there for the day :p

Cage held up good, it was a pretty gentle flop, although the grill did get tweaked from the tube fender impact.
Trailer got me home ;)

I went out through White Lake then up White Lake Road and bypassed all the traffic. It must have worked, I got home before Matt.

7 trucks made it out, weather was great and bugs were few and tolerable. Dirk's front output flange fell off, somehow the nut got loose and came off. This was past the lunch spot but before the Gorge, so he still hasn't made it to the end.

I got lots of video, but don't have time or decent s/w to that will edit HD :( I will get them to Adian for the Xmas party though.

Brad was just trying to scare the new guy! (me)

Good thing I took that carpet off his hands, they could have been smothered. (but I'm glad it was a slow and soft landing)

although I did learn that if you bring your rig on a trailer you will have a mechanical issue. (100% of the time, proven fact) - although this was my first run, so my stats may be a little off.
;)

thanks for showing me around, we had a great time.
looking forward to chatting at the meeting.:D

I got some pics and vids, let me know who is the keeper of all the material.

It was a real pleasure meeting you all.
talk soon
Brian

P.S. both my wife and I were really impressed how well everyone worked and banded together when issues did occur. Hat's off to the group and OVO.

remember Richard, if my wife asks, an RC car is only $130 (and practically nothing else is needed);)

I ended up going up Campbell Dr and bypassed most of it. I actually went to Stinsons and aired up and ended up only being a few cars behind Pete and Brian.

Great run as always, Thanks Richard for setting this one up. Can't wait to see your roll bar video.
