anyone have a cheap working ax-5 manual trans from 4 cyl tj? my friend just had her transmission quit working.

I have one from a 93 YJ, external slave. I am pretty sure there is no difference between the 91 and up yj (external slave) and the tj.

100 bucks

it is still in the jeep so i will have to pull it.

Mileage is 203000 I believe, but i can check tonight. Trans is fine, I have been driving it around the yard this summer. I havent had it in forth or fifth (not enough room). If you are interested I will take it for a quick trip down the road to make sure it shifts good.

Is the TJ one out of the jeep allready? If so, how do we meet you to pick it up? If not, then how long until the YJ one can be redy to pickup? If you can confirm all the gears work just try it yourself,( I will trust you) and remove it then we can pick it up. but if the TJ is all ready to go, then that would be quicker She is in a hurry with no vehicle right now.

I can run it thought the gears tomorrow night but it will be some night next week before I can pull it.

Any news on either of these? She is in a rush to get her only vehicle back on the road. She asked me to ask: Who can have their transmission ready to pickup first?

Any news on either of these? She needs to get her jeep back on the road as carrying her kid around without a vehicle is a pain.
