I figured you all know of a guy who knows a guy with a Samurai.

I'm a terrible negotiator, and hate low ballers, but I'm looking for a good deal, built or not.

Prefer LWB.

I think it's time to part the FJ and start building a light weight buggy.

Thinking of a 1.6 metric litre big block swap. I am also humouring the idea of a b20b, but mating that to Suzuki will not be easy.

I might go look at that sj410 again in person. It needs a ton of work, and nothing is compatible with Samurai/Sidekick stuff.

Hey JG I know you said suzuki but keep in mind that my truck is for sale too. It's not as good as a Zuk but is close :)

The 5th one is Mox aka Chris. Had no idea he was trying to sell it.
ya I put mine up for the month to see if I could get money to build another over the winter with better floors but I was only offered trades and that won't help me build so she is going under the knife this winter!

Al's is quite awesome, but waiting to free up some assets to spend that much. Still keeping my eye out.

LOL

Big thanks for Garrett for floating the loot home, and thanks to blackzuki for selling the trucks.

I got a 1987ish(Vin won't decode online) LWB Samurai. Already spring over. Needs floors, alternator, something with the carb, and brake lines. Body needs some attention, but frame was recently restored.

I also got a regular Samurai, rotten body and frame, but the engine bay surprisingly mint.

I also got most of a 1.6L 8 valve, without harness, and pending ECU.

Looking for a legit ownership and tags, trailer, and tires.

No idea what this will turn into, I want to keep the body but skip the street legal phase and make it rock worthy. I'm thinking tons. I planned on working on it for 2 years, but might lower my goals to have it ready for spring fever. Money is a bit tight after buying a new welder and gas, so no purchases for now.

If anyone wants to come see it, drink my beer, whatever, give me a shout.

Your neighbours must love you.

Looks good, LWB is the way to go, and anything pre 87 (god I hate e-tests). Why tons? Zuk weighs nothing and last with built Toys it seems. Just curious since you mention the 1.6 8V as an engine.

EDIT: why bother with the legal VIN if you're going offroad only? Why not just green plate it from the start?
