Anyone up for a run this weekend? I'm thinking maybe carp but am completely open to suggestions by members as I'm fairly new to this and am looking to meet people and have some fun!

I was thinking of wheeling both days.

I'd be up for Carp on Saturday and Lavant on Sunday. Takers?

I'd be up for one of those.

Would love to do both, but can only swing one, methinks.

Heard Lavant these days is out of range for stock or minor lifts/tires, though, due to water.

When we did Burntlands 2 weekends ago, EOTB was meeting at Zellers as well and there was a guy with a stock Liberty with mud tires on it. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go with us but the trail leader for EOTB said he should be able to do Lavant.

Call me crazy, but there's only one water hole on Lavant (at the mud pit) and it is strictly optional.

I've said this before, and I will say it again. Lavant is stock capable. Needing a tug or having to take the winch does not make the trail out of your vehicles capabilities.

I don't remember who either of these people are, but their rigs aint exactly sportin' 35's. This is from last year.

A few years ago in the fall there was a 100' section of the trail that was flooded 2' deep with no bypass, but I doubt it would be that bad now. Besides, that's what tug straps and winches are for :D

Would love to make it but my saga to get brakes working continues to be...well a saga. :banghead:

If I don't break on Saturday, I may join in for Lavant Sunday.

And I don't know where the notion that a trail should jutst be drivable without the occasional tug or winch......

I should be in for the sunday Lavant run. It's either that or install my new flywheel :banghead:

Actually, it was one of those guys that mentioned something about a "surprising" spot with more water than usual.

I thought he meant that one spot (near the swamp), but he said it was somewhere else. It wasn't clear to me either, the only other place is the mud hole, but that area is big enough to get around.

*shrug*

Lavant is certainly doable by stock trucks, I did it without too much trouble with 2" lift and 29s.

Damn, I wish we could join in, it's even on a Sunday! Alas, this is roofing weekend. :(

As far as needing a tug or winch... would say it's most fun if it's a possibility you might need a tug, not a requirement :)

Did Lavant as a passenger last year only...is there a spot to park and turn around a trailer?
