Are there no winter runs planned? I know I know OFSC trails but is there nobody that has or knows somebody with land we can use? There has to be somewhere...lol :heep:

A buddy of mine out in Blakeney has a run, dunno how long but it's pretty close to a stock trail in dry weather. I could give him a call and find out.

Good question..would like to know this myself. There was plenty of water there during fall season..

I think its more of a question of " do snowmobiles use it in the winter?" Im not sure what trails are not used during winter.

I promise you that trail is used by snowmobiles. Carp was getting a bad case of "cabin fever" without enough snow to use on the trails, so with the new stuff I'm sure we'd be shot for wrecking the trail.

The Carp trail is probably a no-go due to it being a registered sled trail. Anyone have their own trails/property we can run?? What about Malborough forest, anyone been there during winter?

I was there (Marlborough) on the weekend on my ATV (doing some snowshoeing deep in the woods). There are a number of snowmobile trails through the forest. There are also a number of other trails that are not groomed by the snowmobile clubs. The problem is, most of them cross the snowmobile trails after a short distance, so it would be hard to avoid snowmobile trails and still have a good time wheeling.

Are these OFSC sled trails? If they are just forged trails used by snowmobilers I don't see a problem crossing them if we are careful.

Carp trail is one of those trails that we don't want to piss anyone off, we already had a land developer try to get us kicked off and have since lost the last bit of it. Last thing we need is putting us in the crosshairs of sled heads.

Yes, a lot of them are OFSC trails. If you zoom in to Marlborough at the following link, you will see which trails are official trails:
http://ofsc.mapbase.ca/viewer/?extent=-8582701.01185883,5462386.94241303,-8273336.71302951,5723676.28167210
They are also well marked on the trails themselves.

In the area that I was in, the non-official trails (unmarked) were pretty short, so it was difficult to avoild the marked trails.

Carp trail is now groomed and used by snowmobiles (I was in it last week - with my sled). We don't want to wreck it with our vehicle! ... Sorry
