That is the question I must ask. What are the trail conditions like where you guys usually go?

I am slowy building my truck up, but what holds me back is the whole 2wd thing. Hence, the question at hand.

In my arsenal I currenty have:
-front and rear recovery points (hitches up front and in back)
-several tow straps
-I upgraded stock rubber to a set of BFG T/A's
-I have a l/s in my diffy
-a 60" hi-lift with the offroad base

All this along packed into my 03 Ranger 4.0L.

With 2WD you'll just end up tearing up the trails and holding up the group. You do need 4WD and low range to join us on a run.

Maybe you should look into converting your truck to 4WD :clue:

Buy yourself a $1500 samurai and you'd be amazed where that little thing will go. After some driveshaft issues this weekend I ended up in 2 wheel drive for a good portion of trail. Even with 36's and my rear differential locked up 2 wheel drive is no good. You'd never be able to get anywhere, and although its fun getting muddy and stuck, you'd be holding everyone up so much it'd start to get frustrating very fast.
