Would like to borrow a mitre saw

I need a sliding compound mitre saw. Building a picnic table this weekend and am using 2x6's. Need something capable of cutting 2x6's on an angle. I'm *told* a standard compound saw (10" blade) will not be able to cut 2x6 so I need to borrow a sliding saw.

I don't have a piece of 2x6 lying around to try, but it should. Actual size is only 5 1/2"...

you're welcome to borrow my 10" along with the circular saw if you want.

Thanks Brad, I'll take you up on that! When you swing the saw to 37 degrees, does that not make the cut longer? That is my concern. When I was researching saws I noticed they had 2 different measurments on the max cut depending on 0 or 45 degree's. But if I have a circular saw, I can just finish the cut with that.
Wanna drop it off when you drop the vid camera off? I assume you want me to pull the video off ASAP for ya!

Terry your info is correct, you will be about 3/4 in short or so with a 10 in miter saw:banghead:. I know it is a pain, but I usually just flip the board and finish the cut that way. :beer:

Sure, anytime you see either of the car's there one of us should be home. Thanks Trevor for the tip, I thought of that too but the coworkers said I'd end up not matching the cut right. We'll see.
