The 4WD TH350 - Needs complete rebuild.

Now for the plans:

Wiring Harness will go to:

http://www.wait4meperformance.com/

I already contacted them, and for $360.00 they will remove rear O2, EGR, Tranny harness, etc. Flash the computer with above changes plus more power and make the harness standalone includes shipping.

Tranny:

I am using a TH350. It will use this adapter to go to Toy Cases:

http://advanceadapters.com/product/1732/50-5702.html

My Tranny needs a complete rebuild, so I am going to go with a decent rebuild kit, like this:

http://store.summitracing.com/partd...&N=700+4294854624+4294904013+115&autoview=sku

And a Reverse Manual Valve Body. From what I read, the one from Art Carr, that supports Compression Braking in all gears is what I want:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TH-3...62QQcategoryZ33727QQihZ023QQitemZ360057821440

This will change the pattern so it is P R N 1 2 3 making 1 and R next to each other. They also make the tranny run at full pressure all the time making the shifts instant and no clutch slippage.

I will run a Shifter like this:

It is a KRC-7300 that has configurable detents. Advantages are that it is over half the price of the standard Art Carr and B&M shifters and it is easily modified.

I also posted a poll on Pirate about Auto's and received the following results:

As you can see, RMVB won hands down.

That's a screaming deal for the reflash.

Yah, Not even close to being worth doing the harness yourself. Considering you still have to send the computer out to get VATS removed anyway....

More Parts!

In the rear I am finally getting rid of the Aerostar coils and going coil-overs:

A pair of "gently used" :flipoff: Fox 16" Coil-Overs:

And I will be removing the gas tank (hence the fuel cell) and be putting PRP Kid seats in the back so I can take the Family with me :smokin:

I like the RMVB mods you're going to do. If I were to go auto that's the way I'd want it to be, but I won't cause autos suck :flipoff:

How do you think I voted :lmao:

One more thing:

The stock flexplate that comes on the back of the 5.3 will not work with the TH350. This post below from LS1Tech says it all:

http://ls1tech.com/forums/6658945-post4.html

The flexplate part number to run a TH400/TH350/700r4/4L60 is 12551367 ($87.24). That flywheel is flat, not dished like the f-body, or c/k truck flex plate, so it requires a special spacer between the flexplate, and the crank. The spacer part number is 12563532 ($28.50), and the bolts for the set up are part number 12563533 ($3.88 each). The flexplate itself may come with the spacer, and bolts together... make sure to ask before you order so you don't end up with too much crap.

All prices are from gmpartsdirect.com

I don't quite understand the compression braking??

Normal auto's don't really compression brake, or if they do, not much...

By compression braking I mean that when you go down a hill, in gear, you don't have to touch the brakes, the rig slows down using the motor, like a manual transmission.

ahh so the benefits of a standard without the clutch riding issues. Now I get it.
