Probably a good ideaSomething else just dawned on me, I never did any write up about the SAS. I made huge changes to the suspension, front and rear including wheel base stretch and a solid axle swap. I should maybe add all that stuff to this thread lol
Nice! didn't you have a bear of a time getting up there last time we went out before?
I've never made that climb. LOL I pounded the rails on it for 10 minutes on my first ever trip out there but never tried it again after that. Actually last year there were a few climbs we couldn't do and some we did that we didn't have any right to try. LOL But on Saturday we climbed everything but that one steep as frig rock with swamp on the left and the fender bender on the right. I'm sure you know the one, you got into a sweet wheel stand trying it last year. Kick works well
Oh I know which one you are talking about
Someday....
We both need 10" of wheel base stretch (to match Matt's LJ) and we'll have it lol
Lol! Awesome!
Any room under the front for a pair of Timbrens?
Thanks man! I had thought of doing side swing but this seemed to make more sense, swing down allows for a lighter overall design, huge 24" hinge width, two pins that are under pressure of the tire weight so they don't rattle and with the tire secure to the carrier it makes a great access step to the roof rack! Lol works well and it can't swing closed and crush me or the wifeNice design!
