I doubt the guy was trying to pull a fast one on me. He let me pay in two payments. I still owe him money for it and he footed the bill for the safety and etest for me. Hes a good guy and i know him personally.

sorry i wasnt more clear. he footed for the etest and everything it needed to pass etest. We were both pretty sure it wouldnt need anything for safety aside from the window.

It could also be the wiring in general.

1997 and 1998 XJs had garbage wiring from the factory...I think it was done in Mexico or something.
My buddy (he's on this site) had a 98 as well and did all sorts of wierd stuff: stereo would work sometimes, power windows intermittent, wipers etc...

I've got to comment on this - you are giving the wiring in 1999, 2000, and 2001 Jeeps way to much credit. They suck as well.

Everything seems to be working again.. except the flashers on the right side of the vehicle doesnt work...

I'm kind of puzzled as to why the flashers dont work. Even witht he hazards.. only the left side works.


Edit: nevermind, My flashers do work, my front passenger(right side) doesnt work because its burnt. Ill pick one up...

It seems all the quarks have been worked out.

whatever it was, it has stopped for now. I've driven about 300km since the quarks stopped and they have shown no sign of returning.

I even went for some light wheeling at the black and decker trail and it ran great.
