Im new

Hey Im new here and see you guys are going out on Sunday...Im interested in comming...Is there anything should know before I just show up at Zellers. Thanks

Bring a full tank of gas.
Bring lunch.
Bring lots of fluids - no alcohol.
Of course at least one tow point, best to have your own straps too but others will have some.

What do you drive?

Sounds good...I drive a 4.0L 2001 Ford Ranger with a 3" body lift...K&N...Gibson...Ive got tow hooks so I should be good...Ill have to get chains but Ill probably take it easy this time cause its my first time

We never ever use Chains. They are super dangerous. We use straps with loops, no hooks. You can get them at Princess auto for around $30 when they are on sale.

I'm in...I'll leave 15 minutes earlier this time! Cas's Rubi is still N/S so she'll be riding shotgun. Also my neighbor "might" join...

I finally covered up some of the naked aluminum but it's still ugly!

And to be a bit more precise, we use 'tug' or 'recovery' straps, not 'tow' straps or ropes. The former stretch to reduce sudden forces. Best thing is don't buy anything now, come out on a couple trail runs and see what other people use and learn how to use them properly (hopefully someone will get stuck :D).

If I get my new booster and m/c tomorrow and get my brakes working by the evening then I'll be joining you.

Go to Princess Auto and grab urself a fabric Power Fist toolbag when ur ready to buy some stuff and pack it full of all ur goodies! The medium size is perfect for all ur straps and d rings and shite and the small one for tools and repair items.
