So I can't attend. I forgot everything closes at like 1 in the afternoon here under the iron curtain so I couldn't buy a grinder which means I couldn't trim the pinch seam in my fender.

okay, so after wrenching till midnight I am good to go with my 3 wheel drive.....heheheheheheheh, just to make it interesting the Zuk gods threw a curveball at me since I leave everything till the last minute..........I'll have to be gentle with her as the pretty Chromolys will be sitting this one out........don't ask.....see you guys at Bell's Corners....

It'll be wet back there, plus factor in the number of trucks times that by the margin of breakage/stucks and we *should* be heading home around 5pm........

Yeah, then I went to the one on Coventry road and it was closed as well. Oh well I'm picking it up this morning and working on it so I'm ready for next weekend. No big deal.

That's confusing, you are saying all Canadian Tires in Quebec are closed at 1 pm on a Saturday?

Sorry for not showing up, something came up last minute this morning.
I was really looking forward to finally getting out and seeing the the Rubi can do.
Hope everyone had a fun & safe time.
I'll keep checking for the next local run and will try, once again, to make it out for my first one.

lol no I was being a little overly dramatic. It closed at 4pm which i think is a little ridiculous for a saturday.
But anyway I saw the post this morning at 7:45 replied then thought about and and said screw it I'm going to go see if I can just hammer that pinch seam into place and use my dinky little metal sheers. Worked, not pretty but who cares its just my trail vehicle. So I came in woke up my room mate and said "get the hell out of bed we're going wheeling" and off we went to meet up with the guys at Bells Corners.
I had a great time personally, I need to do a little modification to my fenders which the girlfriend was not too pleased about but all good.
We all needed winching except for the TJ, and me until the last play hole and I said hey, I dont want to be left out so I went in a buried myself up to the hood in the water. Tony was nice enough to winch my minivan out and we got going after he went back to fetch his shovel.
All in all I had a great time, Got a few dents and scrapes and realized I left pretty much everything I needed for a days wheeling at home... grrr. Thanks again tony for lending me that tow hook. lol

yeah, it turned out to be a good day, sun came out by the time we hit the lunch spot around 1:30 or so, no one broke, (well I showed up broken so that doesn't count) and we got out at a decent time......now all I have to do is clean all that damn mud off and out of the truck......grrrrrr....I took a few pic when I could and some vids, mostly of the FJ, will post them up when I have more time......
P.S. for the few who have posted on this thread to poke fun at a certain individual, please take your comments elsewhere, we don't need them here, thanks.....

I take it that the water was much higher than usual? I'm surprised that Steve would need a winch.

wished i could have gottin pics of Steve"s merciless assault in 2 wheel but when i see dwayne at work tomorrow i will try to get the vids off his bb.
i think im gonna buy a "go pro" been lookin for a reason think i found one!
