I swapped over my steeringbox in my TJ last night and was able to wrench it on about half way.

Does any one have a socket for it that I can borrow to torque it on right? I need it before end of day tomorrow as I want to go to the Gorge.

I can hook you up, but its a little ways out of ottawa.
Limoges area.

buying the socket at Princess auto is probably cheaper than your gas to come out here at these rates :)

LOL I am on the other side of the city. Chances are I could buy one for less. Thanks though!

What I really need to do is just get the pitman arm snugged up higher on the box. Looking at pictures on the intertubes, it looks like it is up high enough. I am sure it is drivable. If possible, could I pop by with the Jeep and my torque wrench and geterdone there assuming you are available tonight and relatively close by to the Ikea in Ottawa? I figure it should be less than 5 minutes of work but as I told Brad last night, I think there is a temporal distortion field around my Jeep as time seems to fly when you are working on it. If this is ok, send me a PM. I may also be able to get one from the place I got my steering box from, if so, I will probably do it in the parking lot. Will let you know.

Just an update. I borrowed the torque wrench and socket at the local dealer. Couple of grunts and it was good.
