Is there a reason why you didn't just dump it downwards under the vehicle, say after the skid?

I ended up doing that with my OD TJ project and i didn't run into any issues (Although it was a bit loud at times).

I know that with the Hemi TJ project, i am going to have a hell of a time with the exhaust.......

i was tinkering and mocking it up today, i think i'll have to have the exhaust dumping downwards just before the rear end. My only fear is that with it ending mid vehicle i'll get a drone sound under a slight load like i did last year when i finished the exhaust right behind the muffler. I'll be doing it tomorrow and hopefully firing her up once i throw a battery in it.

Yup, that's what i had as well..... I got used to it. But it was annoying.

Small update, exhaust is in and i have it dumping with a turn down almost to the rear of the vehicle, i have a sneaking suspision that there will be some "self clearancing" once she's flexed out but thems the breaks. Also, the motor started on the first turn of the key since it was limped into the garage at the end of august! sounds good too! recieved the heim to replace the tie rod end at the axle end of the drag link, i'll be doing this in the next few days...

So i didn't take alot of pics as i went but the ones i did should be good enough for an update. I built a bracket to locate the hydro ram on the axle, and reused the brackets that were on the tierod...

DSCF3290.jpg

then i went to task on a skid for protecting the ram, had some 1/4 plate laying around and plasma'd a simple skid...

then i cut some speed holes...

then i melted it on and threw some paint at it, i used some off the shelf axle brackets i had laying around to attach the skid to the axle and brace it, it is also attached to the ram mount for extra strength... the lighting sucked when i took the pics...

i wish, within the next couple of weeks i'll get the 60 set up, the ARB still hasn't arrived. i removed the jeep master cylinder today, i will need to modify the pushrod - as in extend it about 5/8 of an inch for the dodge one to work. I'm planning to drive it out of the garage 3 weeks from now at the latest.

Florida was good, well if you call mid 80's and sunny everyday good. Just rolled in after 8 tonight. 5496km of driving as I took a few scenic routes and besides a few minor things the motorhome ran great.

So i pulled the front axle out yesterday in prep of getting the ARB and gear set installed. Now i just need to get a 1/4" bolt and modify it to act as a push rod for the new master cylinder. I also picked up new hub bearings and hub seals today other than that i "machined" the stock inner 60 shafts to accept the full circle clips so i'll probably join them with the stubs later this weekend, man i can't wait till this thing is done.

Did you find out anything about those stub seals?

Wanna come over some time this weekend and criticize my welds? Or complain about our wives ;)
