Till Valhalla!
Collected some parts, Valve covers, tranny cooler and lines and shorty headers. Plus the Winters shifter. Very close now to start putting all these parts together!

I run the same cooler, it's a nice unit. Any plans for a t-stat to control the fans (presuming it is the same one)? I've just got mine switched for now.

Made some simple brackets out of 1"x1" angle to mount the tranny cooler and mocked it in place. Then I began to get the shifter in place, cut through the aluminum on the console and cut and drilled some scrap metal pieces that are the beginning of the brackets that will brace it to the tubing of the console.

made some simple brackets for the tranny shifter and glued them in place, also started to mock up the trackbar bracket but ran out of gas for the welder. I thought about 4 linking the front but that is just a bridge to far this winter so i'll run the 3 link for one more season.

question...

What do you guys think - exhaust wrap my headers or just leave them with a coating of ceramic paint?

The black shit on them will burn off real quick, are you going to re-paint them or get them ceramic dipped?

I could repaint with ceramic heat paint although I have a feeling with the heat cycles these will see I don't believe it'll hold up - is there someone in the area that does ceramic dipping? and what I wonder is the cost to do it?

If you go there at night and pay cash, they usually are a decent price.

lol, good to know :)

I have priced them out numerous times for powdercoat and they were always much more than the lad on Iber Road in Stitsville.

Pulled the mock-up block out in prep for the new motor. I've also started laying out coolant lines and electrical, and of course a gratuitous front end shot. Electrical sucks. The Advanced Adapter tranny cooler lines are nice, they are a bit long though but that's ok. I'll probably go with braided steel fuel lines too.

Its hard to like electrical, but you'll be glad you took the time to do it right. I cannot speak from experience on my buggy.
