We are doing a Quinn run this saturday the 13th.

I was thinking back door to lunch spot, then back and up pinion pass.

Trail requirment will be front and rear tow points, 33's and preferably 1 locker.

Who's interested?

Will be meeting at Antrim for 8:15, leaving 8:30

Been up there lately? All the logging areas around the entrances to the Quinns have "Closed Trail" signs posted all over the place along with No Trespassing signs.

Depending which way you plan to go,I know Mountain Chute is closed off, talking to the Ranger up there last weekend.Ive been back to the Quinns 4-5 times this summer on my ATV but I go in a completly different way than most people.I actually saw a Jeep YJ back there a few weeknds ago,I'm pretty sure he was by himself,I was goign to stop but wanted to get to the lake I was going to.Dont know which way he came in though.

I'm up in the area most weekends, kind of sad to see all the logging they have done up in the area to be honest I was fairly surprised.

I know of a few peopl who were up last weekend on quinn and didntt see any signs saying we cant wheel the trail so maybe the way we go in is different. We are doing back door, as far I know they havnt touched it yet.

Thanks Marek, 2 of us is a run. Who else is in?
How's the Buggy coming along Brad? Gunna be done in time?

I've seen gates on CL before to protect logging camps/equipment, so it wouldn't surprise me.

"no trespassing" on crown land?

Exactly what I thought when I saw the signs. They have them posted all over the place along with Closed Trail signs,it also looked like in certain sections they dug out sections of the road so people couldnt get by.

Ive been going up to that area for years I have family up there with cottages/huntcamps.Sad to see what they have done with the area,I was actually shocked with the extent of some of the logging and how far back it was.Trails that I used to ride are completly gone in sections,I didnt even recognize certain areas.

It is getting to be a popular place also for camping which is fine but they dont have anyone patrolling the area on a regular basis and people are taking advantage of that.I was camping up there a few weekends back on a backcountry lake and there were 2 houseboats on the lake, never in my lifetime did I think I would see that, they barely fit on the trail.I showed up at my campsite and there was leftover garbage from the people before all over, cans in the water, total disrespect for the area.

I dont agree with paying for permits on Crown Land but in order to somewhat keep the area clean and patrolled the sad truth is they need to charge. They should of left the roads/trails up there rough and never fixed them, now you get all the yahoo's back there partying and leving there garbage behind.Saw a brand new Camaro back there about a month ago,had a good laugh at that also.

I'm 99% in. Finished the brakes just now. I just have to bleed them and build new pinion guards, then a quick test.

I'm good for 9:30 at Antrim

Interested in coming to this. No idea how far "Quinn" is though?

I do have a full size chevy 4" lift, 33s, tow hooks in front, tow hook receiver out back, auto locker out back.

Will I fit down the trail?

Full size might be tough to say the least. This is more of a rock trail, no mud on it. So if you do come, be prepaired for some beating and banging and possibly body damage. It is a long trai, so if you break it wi make for a llong day getting you outa

1.5/2hrs from Ottawa. You definatly will get some scratches possible dings on your truck. The trail is tight in certain areas, definatly not a trail for someone who is concerned about any form of damage.
