on the other hand I've seen guys run Quinn and didn't realize there rig was open /open till we got back out and were airing up.
Some guys just know when to go and when to no go...

Then I doubt it was pinion pass (which is where they are going) and it wasn't wet.
All right I am going to apologize for the flippant remark about it probably wasn't Pinion Pass but I made it because if you watch somebody go up there with open/open it is apparent or you aren't watching properly. When only one wheel spins when trying to climb over rocks you usually ask them if they are locked to make sure something is not wrong. The only way I see you don't see that is that they hit it at the bottom and bounced all the way up. There is that breakage thing. FYI I have done all of Quinn with a bad R&P that I found out not long before PP and so doing it I could not put much pressure on the rear without skipping a tooth and since I wanted to drive out I spent 97% of the trail in front wheel drive. PP required very aggressive bumps and lots of exact placement and luckily it was dry otherwise I would have turned around and went back or winched myself.
But you know what that has nothing to do with this thread as when somebody volunteers to lead a run it is generally not a democracy but instead a benevolent dictatorship and as such the leaders get to choose what kind of run they want to lead. It is not a slight against anybody or what their truck maybe capable of or not "allowing" them but instead for reasons that I explained earlier in the thread. I don't even care about the run as I will be in Vermont riding a BMW motorcycle in the mountains. :flipoff:
Anybody is welcome to lead as many open/open's through PP as they can but Mitko has chosen not to.

I've done Quinn many times, with many different vehicles, with open or locked diffs, with tires rangeing from bold 31s to brande new TSLs... and yes its doable... but it's not always fun. Thats why - nothing personal but I would like to lead this weekwend a group of friends I know and have fun.
I probably have a free seat, will confirm tomorrow. I am just waiting to find out if my nephews are coming or not
