cochies will be there (hopefully lol), in the begining of the thread he said he was there last week. seems like he knows what he is doing and where hes going
Unfortunately I've had something come up, so I'm out for Saturday. Hopefully someone who knows the trail will be joining you. Have fun, and take some pics/vids.
If Dan (Cochise) is still going he knows the trail. If not as long as Kevin (KevH) can find the entrance he'll be fine to lead after that.
Note that you MUST turn around when you see a house to your left. This is after a big mud hole and a Grand Cherokee on the side of the trail. A short distance after it becomes private property and the owner has made it clear he doesn't want us there.
I also have a GPS track I can e-mail to someone, I don't want to put it on a public forum.
I have no idea where the trailhead is, but I can lead, I have no issues there. Honestly, I just wanna do some wheeling, I don't care where, been a monster of a month and wanna get away. We just did a solo run of Cloyne last month, so carp is nice and close, but it doesn't matter either way to me. Where the majority of you guys go, so will we!
That would be correct, the usual meeting spot is the northern parking lot.
Have fun and ride safe.
Remember when you see the Grand Cherokee that is your turn around spot.
Well today went good, don't really have much pic's or everyone, I have a video and a few pics of mine, I'll post them when I go on my computer, was great other then me breaking my front driveshaft and my rear trac bar bracket getting loose, had to get help on the way back out on a few of the drops sense I could only do it in 2wd.... Well 1wd really.... Thanks for everyone that came out! Had a bunch of fun and the group seems like a bunch of good people!
Here are some pictures Mike got from the event... btw total props zj, leaving that trail with the broken front axle had me totally impressed how smooth you did it..
Two nice Flex Shots
This mud pit is kinda insane at the turn around on carp trail btw.. (or deff NOT stock friendly lol)
if any of you guys wanna do the gorge run in burnstown we are going in there today we will meet at the bridge in burnstown at around 10;30 thats the first right after the bridge in burnstown heading east see you there
Great time guys, was great to meet and wheel with you all. I didnt remember one stretch of that trail from the old days. For a short trail, there was a fair amount of carnage. It was impressive how well you did in one wheel drive! Noranda snapped a bunch of pics. Here is the link to them all.
For future reference, don't ever attach a tow strap to the ball - pull the drawbar out and put the strap around the pin first. You can easily take the ball off and make a cannonball projectile out of it.
