Agree.

Streetable and "small" tires means stockish width axles to me - let's say under ~65" wide for the sake of throwing a number out there. I don't think you should go full width if you are at all worried about streetability.

What about building your own axles but sourcing the parts by buying up some full size stuff? Does that make sense monetarily? You aren't paying retail for the expensive bits and stuff like knuckles out and rear brakes can be used from the full size stuff.

If you buy full size axles aren't you going to be welding on control arm brackets anyway? What's cutting down the tube and ordering extra shafts at that point?

You work fast - can't see it being a big obstacle. ;)

jusr got a catalog from 4wd they have g2 d44 with truetracks, cro mollys for under 5000, you just need to transfer brakes over.

but that could be out of your price range, unles you just get the front and get the rubbie 44 fom the states...

But is your rig a trailer queen :)

It most definatley is, I wouldn't have it any other way, but that is what I feel is best for me, it doesn't work for everyone.

The question is do you want a street truck that you wheel or a trail truck that you take on the street?

If built PROPERLY I see nothing wrong with 36s or 38s on the street as Kunker said.
