Torque Converter Day:

Specs:

It is a factory GM high stall TH400 Converter with the 11.5" Flex Plate bolt circle

This is the place that has them:

http://www.kingomatic.com/AT_torqueConverters

They have an online PDF catalog that is very useful.

And the best part? They are Canadian, and NAPA is a reseller, so Keith got if for me for $125!!!

I'm confused - I thought you were running the TH350? Box says TH400?

Yup :)

TH350 and TH400 have the same TC spline, etc.. But to get the larger flexplate bolt circle, I needed to go to a TH400 TC, or pay a lot more money for a custom one.

Yah, they have a metric TC bolt circle and different Crank stick-out.

The Flexplate I used is from a truck with the 480LE in it. Which has the 11.5" bolt circle....

Cut out my frame, replaced with 1 3/4" tube and got the coil-overs mounted. Still have to gusset the hell out of everything:

They are mounted so that they hit the bump stops right before the upper links hit the frame. So 8" of up-travel to full stuff.

Thanks to an un-named member who let me use his plasma cutter. (name will remain anonymous so he does not get a bunch of calls) :flipoff:

BTW- The Titan Plasma works pretty good :smokin:

For the back, you may be wondering why I just put a straight bar back there instead of bending up something nice, it is for this:

http://www.rockequipment.com/

bar is 40" long, for the 42" Sway Bar..

I am betting that you must be able to EASILY write your name anywhere on the floor with all the grinding you must have to do!!

Unreal work Adrian.. Truly impressive. I just can't wait to get my jeep to you. Hopefully within the next month or so

Yah, making that radius gusset took a while. Did it with a chop saw and a grinder :banghead:

Looks cool though :glasses:

For your Jeep, I am going to be working on the buggy steady trying to get it ready for PJF Rockracing. Beginning of August, so I need 1 1/2 months before I can get to yours. Hope this is OK ;)

I see Dave's influence has taken over already!!!
Looks good, I've been trying to come up with a way to use that technique on the cage drawings.

Floor Pan in:

Built to accommodate the Sump on the Fuel Cell:

Floor is 1/8" or 11 gauge Sheet, I wanted something strong enough to support a full Fuel Cell and dual batteries. I think I went a bit overboard as usual though :flipoff:
