This is the actual weekend to do the whole run.

I'll be playing it by ear for the West side of 41 scouting day, once the snow melts, hopefully sooner rather then later. Maybe early May with an luck.

i'd like to join for this run. went from the hydro damn down to buckshot lk road a couple times but never further. on google maps where the road heads off the hydro line towards quackenbush rd/lk at trapper lk you can make a left in the opposite direction towards brule lake and come out on russ brown rd, did this in the fall with stock jeeps and was more interesting then the flat access roads. did a 65 day trip last yr and just itching to get out and do some more exploring.

Yeah, I was probably going to head left at the intersection as I know to the right is just a gravel road.

cool, figured i would mention it since google maps doesn't show a lot whats in that area. if i wasn't 500km away i would be very down for exploration runs west of 41 before the trip, that could easily take a full wknd though...!

i pm'd you a link to check out for the long trip i mentioned above.. it was quite the trip.

I was notified Friday that I'm on the list to travel to customer sites again this summer (if anyone remembers at last years Spring Fever I was in Southern Louisiana at 8am and by 8pm that day I was in Calabogie!!) . I've notified management of my weekends I have booked, but in the 911 world, they'll plan to have a higher priority. Right now we have planned Beta sites in July & August, but I'll do my best to make sure the company works around the 17th weekend. They are usually pretty accommodating, but sometimes schedules just can't be changed.

hhmmm, should there maybe be an alternate wknd setup earlier in the year? maybe before fathers day..? i'm pretty excited to do this little trip so just thinking on the keyboard here..!

I don't want an alternate weekend published, I'd like people to just focus on the weekend we've decided to go. If I get sent out of country I'm sure someone else can take over as a trail leader, I have the maps and can pass them to anybody to lead.

If this tour is still planned I'd be up for it, either wknd works and. Not sure if this still morphing into something else but I'd love to get more than the two runs I made it out to last summer.

I do Danny. Well, a tentative route. It could easily change due to blocked trail, closed trail, and the such.

Nothing yet, sometime after Spring Fever? After SF to mid June I'm tentatively out of the country for work and play so I can't commit to anything right now until work firms up their dates. Before SF I plan to be working on the Sami and JK...if this snow would f*ck off!!!!!
