Once again I'll be leading an Expedition Weekend, scheduled for July 15-17th.

We'll start somewhere around Calabogie on Friday night, pack up Saturday, drive all day, find a lake and camp Saturday night, pack up Sunday and head home.

No destinations really in mind yet, suggestions welcome.

Thinking of trying to find my way in to the East side of Lingham Lake from Hwy 41. Last year we basically drove around to the North of Lingham and entered on the East side. Entering from the West...

I'll sure hope I can make it again this year. This time I'll try finding a good air pressure so I don't have to air up/down so often.

In for updates - will have to see what the rig requirements are.

Yeah, pretty basic really. But, that being said, things can go bad in a hurry depending what you get in to. :)

This is meant to be an "expedition" weekend, not a 3 day hard core wheeling trip. It'll be fire access roads, some trail, and from what I have heard from my uncle.....4 wheeler trails. LoL *IF* we can find our way in from the East. It's an adventure, and we can always turn around if needed.

Last year we turned around.....right Richard? And drove ourselves right in to 2 1/2 feet of water. But we all crossed it successfully. Turns out we could have just went the way we were originally headed and made a right and ended up at the same spot (without the water). LoL But hey, it's an adventure, right?

Sounds like a lot of fun...I realllllly wanna be there. ATV trails aren't too bad as long as we don't have any full sizers with us...or at least ones that don't care about pinstripes!

2.5ft of water...also not too bad unless there is also a foot of mud under it lol (are there pics somewhere? would love to see)

edit: Oh ya - we usually use backcountry navigator when exploring - just dl the map tiles before going. Pretty decent maps available and you can use them offline. What do you guys use?

Damn you - 3rd weekend in July is booked for the next 17 years. It would have been fun to tag along in the Dodge.

Like last years, this years looks like a good run, I suppose the smaller the group the better for something like this? What sort of head count are you hoping for?

No goal on head count. The smaller the group the quicker the drive, but if we end up with 20, so be it! LoL

Not sure I'm going tp pre-scout this time. Might just wing it and make that become part of the trip itself. We may get turned around a few times, just like on the scouting trip last year. I guess it depends on what my Spring/early Summer schedule looks like.
