PROJECT - "Truck No More"

Started skinning the floor:

The two main panels on either side of the tranny is removable to make working on the truck easier. I used 3/4" angle iron and 1" square tube to build a frame that sits on top of the tube structure, then skinned it with 22 guage.

Battery is also installed and hooked up:

Still need to make a battery hold down, but just wanted to hear the truck run again LOL

Let the Skinning begin!

The Side panel and the panel closest to the windshield are welded in, the other three are removable for easy access to wiring and engine.

Here is the hardware I used:

Checking out what CJ lights will look like in the grill:

You're gonna put some kind of a rubber grommet or something where the battery leads pass through the floor, right?

Tubes added to the sides and rad support made. Rad mounted and all electronics mounted (fuse box, coil, etc.) and PS reservoir mounted.

Adrian, if you need more tabs, I have a bunch. I was going that route, then decided full support was better over Madisons head. What did you pay for them?

I believe it was .15 a tab at OFS... They have two sizes, I was using the larger of the two...

B Pillar and lower section skinned.. Still need to weld, grind etc...

I just finished it about 10 minutes ago. Still have to load it up on the trailer and head up to Calabogie in about two hours, hows that for last minute LOL

There is still a bunch of stuff I could not get done in time, such as the Line Lock, Removable panels for the sides, Removable wheel well panels, etc.. But it is done enough for now :beer:

I have been taking time off from the truck after the Spring Fever Garage Marathon :banghead:

But I did get back at it yesterday.

Got the windshield done and Line Lock mostly installed.

Will take pics later :beer:

Next up is skinning the sides and fixing minor spring fever damage (Shock and exhaust)

Then Waterproofing for the North Hastings Mud Pit :glasses:
