Dan I personally don’t have a cell but I know the other guys do. What’s your area code?........We can try to call you around 9-9:30 if we don’t meet up with you first. If you have a GPS the coordinates for the camp site are N45deg06.007 W076deg49.871

Is the trail entrance at the south end considered the front door? What’s harder front to back or back to front? We ran it from the south entrance last year.

I'm meeting up with Bart this weekend...my cell is 613-921-8108 Bud (aka TwistedXJ) was StingerXJ...if that helps not sure about reception???
No Twinkie..I'm not runnin Twisted thru Quinn..its far from offroading...LMAO..its my sleepin hotel...riding with one of the other guys..probrably my neighbour BushWacker or Lowrad
Wish Me Luck!!!!! I'm not drivin!!!! But maybe fixin!!!!
See ya there guys!!!

Sounds like a plan or even closer if you want. I am coming from the Osgoode area, JKMurf from the Kemptville area.... We can haul up in a convoy... We could meet say in Kanata, just off Terry Fox North. There's a Canadian Tire gas station with a Starbucks..... We could meet there for say 8AM or so?

Let me know.

Sounds good to me. Although we should be leaving there at 8 sharp. So let's meet at 7:45.

It's about 90 minutes from there to the dam and then we have to find the other guys. I don't want to keep them waiting. They'll probably want to get going to thaw out. :p

Quinn run

Too tired to write a full review of the day, but suffice it to say that I had a blast with Tim, Sean (sp?), Seb, and the guys from NOR and county4x4: lowrad, John, Dave, Bud, Ken, Ben, Bushy (forgetting a few, I think). Didn't rain until we just got off the trail.

Seb was taking photos and HD footage, as well as others. Should be fun to see.

And pinion pass claimed another of its namesake.

We missed the turn off for the front, so kept going.

Oh, and if Tim ever says: "I think it might be shorter to go this way", go the other way. :flipoff:

Just kidding Tim, at least we're now more familiar with the area. :D

There is technically 2 turns for the front door now, and you missed both?!?!? LoL Yah, Steve (Lowrad) told me about your pinion...

"Technically" if we hadn't missed the turn off(s), we'd never made it to Pinion and we would not have had the pleasures of watching all the guys work their way up, including Dan's carnage so i think it was a "Win Win" :) :flipoff:

Hey, that was a good run alright. Pinion pass? Check!

A little long getting back...got back around 10pm. Not sure how far up Canonto rd you guys went but we ended taking Cruise rd and eventually back to 511. I was so glad to see that Tim Horton's in Perth!:smokin:

Fawk yeah... :)

We only went about 1KM or so and decided to come back.. It was starting to feel too "Deliverance" like :) BUT, when Dan tried to turn around, he backed up too far and buried the back end in a swampy ditch :) Had to pull him out. I came out near Hopetown and then went via Almonte. Jeebus that was a long "Shortcut" :). Didn't get back home until about 9:45PM. I am still having dreams of a "Wood bridge and then stop sign :)

When Seb gets his videos up online, PM with the details.. Would really like to take a look at them!

I have to agree with Twisted. It was a great time. I honestly didn't care how "lost" we got. Any trail is a good trail. lol. Seen vids of pinion pass. Was kinda hopin' to do it. Thanks for the wrong turn. That hill was a blast. Hope you guys can make it next time we get up there. Really enjoyed meeting ya's.
Hope to get out with ya's again. 'Till then, have a great one

Heh heh. Deliverance was pretty much what crossed my mind at the point too.

When I dumped it into the swamp (couldn't see shiat), I thought "Well fawk, isn't this the icing on the cake." Busted up front, rear ARB leaking like a fart machine. Stuck. Woot!

Grabbed the tree saver still in the pass side foot well, hooked it up in a near torrential downpour and what do I hear from Tim? "It just keeps getting better!"

I was laughing my ass off, tired as all get out and thinking "I've had 4 hours sleep, had to redo the brakes at 6 AM, still managed to meet up on the trail, wheeled bigger than I ever have before with a great bunch of peeps, I'm beat, it's raining and might not make it home on my broken shit. This ROCKS!"

By far, my best wheeling experience. :glasses:

Are there any stock friendly runs such as Gorge or Lavant being planned for end of October?

Finally got off my ass, and had a look at the front axle.

See anything wrong?
