Spent the weekend mounting wiring all the little things into the truck, 2 days of wrenching and it still looks the same.
New fuel lines and diesel stuff, filter, water separator, primer, installed. Electrical all connected and rear glass and dash installed. Had to wash (in bleach) the heater/blower assembly and all the ducting to get the mouse piss smell out of it.

Still need a windshield. :(

Once your front springs break in you might be OK, I see your shackle angle is about 90 deg, so defiantly they need to sag a bit.

Some people take a leaf out of the front springs to get it to work right....

My All-Pro leafs settled almost 2" over the years...

I do hope the seetle fairly quickly. Right now it looks like one of those swamp bugies they race in Florida.

And it looks like the truck has my Dogs' approval. :D

With the amount it is sitting front high, I'd take a leaf out and see where it sits.
If it were mine, I'd drop the front probably 3" or so assuming the driveway is level.
It can always be put back in if it sags too low once they break in.

- change ignition
- front brake lines & bracket
- rear brake line
- air breather
- snorkel
- timing belt
- rad
- rear lights
- front marker lights
- dash light
- rear view mirror
- throttle pedal
- grille

- parking brake
- exhaust
- battery holdown
- washer fluid tank

I sure wish that list were shorter....or the truck fairies would come and finish it for me overnight.

"worked" from home today and got some things done.

- Front & rear brake lines are done, just missing a bracket to hold the front hard lines at the knuckles.

- Ignition is changed, and engine rolls over. :D

- air breather is done

- dash lights work

- installed pipe plugs in the knuckles

I thin I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel....and not a minute too soon as my completion (well...being able to drive it) date is next Friday.

Truck left the patio today and went back into the shop. A parting shot of tall the diesel plumbing under the hood.

And...with my wife's help, the windshield is in....

Got my oil pickup extended:

Also changed the timimng belt...old one had gouges out of it.... and got a few other items almost out of the way. Dwayne was a great help as usual, he fought with door rubbers all night.....the rubbers seem to be wining. :flipoff:

And the mystery part:

Any guesses? :)

We'll do the brakes tonight. Have to change the fittings to hoolup the proportioning valve and the roll stop. They are standard flare and thet Toy is all metric......I just love flaring.

So it should be drivable tonight.

But there's still a bunch left:
- hydraulic/power steering pump, kinda dreading this one
- rear lights, install junction box and converter (since i have no amber turn signals)
- some lights and such aren't working in the dash yet
- battery hold down
- front flasher and marker lights
- grille

Mainly electrical stuff and such.

Ofcourse thats only to get it going. I still have to fab a front bumper, thats a top priority after its on the road. And a spare tire carrier, radio & CB, hydraulic lines and controls, snorkle & pre-cleaner, Wipers, and inside door panels.

But the main thing is it I can drive it on my Birthday ..... which was my deadline for this build (to be usable, not totally finished).

Love it

In true 4x4 fashion:

"still have to fab a front bumper, thats a top priority after its on the road."

After it's on the road is the key here.....only then will you fab a front bumper. Great looking rig! Keep at er!

what does the twin stick do if you already have a shifter on the first reduction box?

reduction box is hi/lo (2.28:1) and the T-case with the twin stick is hi/lo (4.7:1) and 2wd/4wd independantly. Allowing for all gears in 2 or 4wd.
